What are your thoughts on Johns bringing Hal back as "the one true" Green Lantern?
Any Kyle lovers out there?
Any Hal lovers?
Come share your opinions.

The only real GLs (IMHO) are Alan Scott and Hal Jordan. The others are merely replacements (John and Kyle) and also-rans (Guy). I wouldn't pay to read about any but Hal (or Alan, but I doubt he's getting another solo series again). I don't dislike the others; they just don't interest me as much.

I'm neutral. I know so very little about any of them. Happened to pick up the first GL/GA TPB, and The Ring, The Arrow and the Bat. That's my exposure to Hal. John had one story (his debut) in GL/GA. And I caught his appearance in the first TT TPB (current incarnation). Kyle, I've caught in Tower of Babel/Divided We Fall, and IC. As for Alan--Um... the "Made of Wood" arc in Tec, and the "Will Alfred Live" issue of GK.
That's not enough exposure for me to judge.

I'm a 70s kids so of course to me Hal will always be the Green Lantern first and foremost. Not that I have any particular devotion to him as a character, he's just imprinted in my brain first under the GL category.
Alan is the elder statesman of the group and just has that presence of respectability that all of the surviving Golden Agers have. I like'em and think he's cool, but don't really have a particular story or character moment I can point to as reference.
I like Kyle. That's a big statement to make for some people and apparently one that will always be controversial because of the circumstances with Hal, but isn't really fair. He's an interesting character that went through lot of development and growth and now it seems like he's getting swept under the rug for the returning Hal Jordan. I really enjoyed this character as written by Grant Morrison and for a time it seemed as if you had a new string of heroes in play with successors to Green Arrow, Green Lantern, and Flash. It was exciting to see the young guys have a turn but now that's all been backtracked. Not that I mind because I love the other characters but I don't think we'll see Kyle and Conner get a spotlight like that again.
Guy? Eh.
John Stewart never really stood out to me before the Justice League cartoon. But man, his character has really had a chance to shine over the last few years, especially with the focus that his relationship with Shayera/Hawkgirl has had in the ongoing storyarcs. And how complicated that's gotten with the triangle now between John, Vixen, and Shayera. AND how complicated it's going to get next season when they introduce a certain archaeologist named Carter Hall. Okay, I'll stop.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again... Hal is my primary choice; HOWEVER, as long as there is a GL ring on someone's finger... I will be a loyal reader. Unless, of course, Ben Raab writes it again... then I'm out.

I believe Hal is Green Lantern but I did enjoy Kyle when Ron Marz wrote him. He was the only one that did him up right. I am just surprised that it took DC this long to bring Hal back.

anyone think that the simone biachi (?) arc will use that dream flower from that Alan Moore Superman story? I've read previews and it has Mongul in, and also MArtin Jordan alive...

Thats it... Loved that issue... But I always thought his hearts desire was wrong... Wouldn't it have been peace on earth, living with Lois on EARTH and the such? Maybe his natural parents surviving? I dunno...

Hey I have a question! Does anyone else find the new Gl series boring? I do. It seems all the energy was spent on bringing Hal back and thats it. I haven't been all that impressed but I will stick around and see what happens.

ooooh i disagree jon. i like the series so far and im not even that big of a hal fan. i think some of it seems a bit lackluster because they did put so much emphasis on his return but how can they keep up that kinda steam. my favorite moment so far has been that freefall onto a manhunter and then using his head to recharge... but anyway, i like it.

I gotta go with John on this one. I have a lot of respect for the creative team on this book, I like the character and was expecting great things after Rebirth, but have thus far been underwhelmed. There have been some nice moments, but overall Hal is not being used to his full potential yet (the delays don't help, either).

It is not a bad book but I was expecting alot better. I think we will be seeing more of Hal as Infinite Crisis ends. I agree with Idle on the delays. If it come out on time more people would hold interest.

I like Geoff Johns as a writer a lot! I just wonder if he is being spread too thin with doing IC. I really think his last Flash story wasn't all that great compared to his epic run on that book. And now I think GL is suffering too. Maybe when IC is over he can get back to spreading his creativity to his monthly books. Because for one, I do expect GL to maintain the same level of exciting story's told in Rebirth.

I have to say though, GL: Recharge is a damn near perfect book... but now, I believe it's late as well. Supposedly both will be out next week. We'll see!

EXACTLY! You've come to know me so well Ramon. These delays are driving me nuts. How long has it been since the last recharge book came out? It feels like three months. (I know it hasn't been that long, but it feels that way!)

I think the delays are what lost me on the DC GL books. They really had some momentum, but it's kinda just fizzled (for me, at least). Would I sound cynical if I grumbled something about superstar artists-of-the-week?

I think the delays are what lost me on the DC GL books. They really had some momentum, but it's kinda just fizzled That's why (on a personal note) I write so far in advance... My imagination can be an unreliable wench at times... I usually like to finish an arc before posting it. If I had to rely on someone's art holding me up, I'd go crazy!!! As it is... already having the Legion Virus arc done & planning future events is driving me crazy! I want everyone to know how it ends NOW!!! I feel for the writers.
