Picked up GLC#18 (one hell of a down to Earth "cosmic" fight scene... Eh, I don't know, I would have prefered them slamming into meteorites and the moon instead of graveyards...) and Blue Beetle, and those two are some awesome tie-ins to the Sinestro Corps series.
I'm still enjoyin this, even though it's dragging on, what about everyone else?

Sinestro Corps is, at least for me, the best event that DC has put out this year. Amazon's Attack was kind of a disappointment for me, but this has been excellent. I'm even liking WhinyBoy Prime.

AAAAANNNNND now it's over. ;D
Yeah, easily the best event in a long time. At first I didn't think it would be able to top Rebirth but this was nuts. Now they've already shown what will be the next big GL event with Blackest Night at the end of #25 and the scope of it looks even bigger then Sinestro Corps War. Seriously can't wait for the summer of 09 now.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAANNNNND now it's over. ;D Yeah, easily the best event in a long time. Seriously can't wait for the summer of 09 now. Gotta second that! Awesome wrap-up to the Sinestro Corps War. Love the Seven Corps concept. Loved how Coast City lit it up for the GLs, and I love how Hal and Kyle double-teamed Sinestro. Only niggling complaint: Prime taking out the Anti-Monitor like that. I mean c'mon: this was the monster that went toe-to-toe with, like, every powerhouse in the DCU at the same time!Other than that, this was pure fun. Terrific art, too. 9.5 out of 10!

just finished it myself and what an amazing story. I thought 52 was going to be DC's best event of the year, but The Sinestro Corps War is what a major event should be.
I agree with David on the Anti-Monitor thing, but I just figured that by the time Superboy Prime got to him, he was already pretty beat up by our little blue friends.
Coast City: The city without fear! (Loved that!)
And the best part to me was that here was this really major event, with action and drama and mystery, and not one major player had to die for it to be good. Hats off on that alone. Although I did get a little worried that Guy was going to be a goner.

I do have some minor issues with it. The Anti-Monitor was really wholly unnecessary for THIS story, as all he did was look cool, disintegrate some faceless folk and part of a city which was then repaired, and then get beaten. Yes, it was a cool showcase of the Guardians but all it really did was LOWER his threat level somewhat. Also, I don't like Superboy Prime. I realise Geoff Johns *does*, but I don't need this to come across in every comic he writes. First we had the Sinestro Corps special, in which 80% of the DCU go to fight Superboy Prime despite the fact Earth is being invaded by a giant hostile army, and he basically beat them all, now we have him taking out the Anti-Monitor, him taking on half the GL Corps again and then his defeat getting more page time at the very end than SINESTRO'S! Yes, Johns, you really really like Superboy Prime. We get it. Oh, and also? Third comic in two years where he's ended a story by having a hero and his villain both slugging it out while depowered, and the hero eventually beating out the villain with a big punch and a quip.
Still, those are niggling complaints in what is the best story I've read since... well, I dunno. Along with The Ultimates 2 and anything happening in "Captain America", this is hands down the best story I've read in the last two or three years, in ANY title. Excitement, adventure, beautiful art, insane scale, perfect characterization... man, this has me on Green Lantern until Johns isn't! In anyone else's hands, I'd cry at the notion of zombie Lanterns. In Johns', I just know it's going to rock.

This was such a kick ass arc. Though I am kinda with everyone else on the Superman-Prime thing. Lame personality, Lame motivations and how he just owns everyone he faces is getting pretty old.
