a group of guys running around with yellow rings? hm.. nope, not at all. I've been liking it, i knew from the start amon would get him a ring but i didnt see the hunger dog revalation coming, that was a nice surprise, they had one of those cool flash back summaries like they do on the t.v. even to show how everything lined up. ;D

I kinda guessed John Stewart was Hunger Dog. It was obvious IMO. And I DON'T like how Amon got the ring. He's scary? Since when? SCARECROW should have got it. That would have been interesting.

Man, I can't wait for that storyline...!
The more I see Van Sciver's art, the more he reminds me of Jim Aparo. Get that guy on Brave and the Bold!
BTW, who's the GL between Hal and Kilowog?

Riiiight, when we first met you were like, "Oh, hi my name is David. You might remember me from the wildly popular television game show, Jeopardy, hosted by <whoever hosts Jeopardy>"

It's true. I was like "You killed The Atom, I have a plan..." and you were like "Thanks! My name is David. You might remember me from the wildly popular television game show, Jeopardy, hosted by <whoever hosts Jeopardy>" Y'see?

great freaking rao, how cool is that? ;D Yeah, this looks awesome... and though I am nowhere near the caliber of costume designer (or all around artist, like Mr. Van Sciver), I still can't help but say that this looks a little familiar... And someone should remind him that Sin has pointy ears! Unless this is the new post-post-post-post-crisis version of Sin...

All I can say is it's about tims that Sinestro was given a costume with yellow in it.
I always thought it odd that Sinestro wielded this yellow power ring, yet he wore no yellow on his costume, whereas the GLs had green on their costumes.

well initially it wasn't like that, he was just chillin wearing his normal Korugar...an... clothes right. he got the ring from those pesky anti matter qwardians and I'm sure he wasn't like, oh hold on let me go change into some matching clothes... he's so evil he was just like, I will wear whatever the hell i choose to beat the crap out of those green little b*th*s.
or at least that's what i interpretted it as. works that he has yellow now and with scott's but before the color of his uniform was totally irrelivant. see what I'm sayin? he's so evil the clothes don't matter.

Hal's heart now belongs to Cowgirl? Nice upgrade I suppose... time for Carol to move on.
The best line in the story:
"Don't fight ladies, there's enough of me to go around."

It's a beautiful thing!
Cyborg Superman huh? He's a pain in the ass without a ring! Just imagine the damage he can do now! I love the fact that he has become more a GL rogue than a Superman rogue.
Yellow powered Manhunters! Nice!
Big evil lookin' quasi-Kilowog character? Cool!
Parallax as the power source? Rockin'!
The anti-Hal as their leader? Perfetion!
Now if they can pull this off properly, this could be the best thing to happen to Green Lantern in years! Or the second best thing next to Rebirth!

SPOILER WARNINGS!!!!!! So... There's a new Parallax in town! I'm really getting tired of seeing my ideas elsewhere! Even if their modified in some way shape or form... Let's see... - Sinestro has his own group of Yellow ringed followers
- Sinestro's costume
- Parallax being trapped inside of Kyle
- Hal being military again
- New demonic style tatooed Man
There were other things too... but I'm too tired to think about them right now. Otherwise, I couldn't be happier. I thought the Sinestro Corps special rocked. I just really want to know who the dominant personality is in Kyle... Is it Parallax or is it just Parallax bringing out the worst in Kyle? Let the Kyle devotees pounce!

I'm reserving pouncing till I read the issue...
BUT, I'm not some kinda whiny H.E.A.T. member, I'll be interested in seeing what goes down with my boy Kyle even as a villain.
YOU thought of putting Parallax in Kyle? hmm...

Okay, I've finally read the Sinestro Corps Special...
Loved it.
From that first image of Sinestro bent over the ring, the symbol of the Corps scarred onto his back by Kyle, through that assualt on Oa (the image of the rings flying through space looking for new owners was chilling), all the way up to the shocking last panel and big reveal--- I was flipping the pages with astounded enoyment! This is the kind of story with which Geoff Johns shines! He has an ability to make his work seem big and portentious even when it's not, or when it sucks--- which it does from time to time--- but this one was big and deserved the epic treatment. This issue was cinematic in it's approach and execution! For the first time, I really liked Kyle as a character (I didn't dislike him before--- I even bought his mini!--- but he's never really grabbed me 'til now. This seems to be every much his story as Hal's. In fact, I think Kyle came off as the best written character in this book (well, with the obvious exception of Sinestro).
EVS perfectly complemented GJ, recalling their Rebirth success (almost mirroring it in places), making this a feast for the eyes and mind.
My mind was blown. I will be picking up everything related to this arc.
Let the GL Renaissance continue!
