It's definitely an interesting theory. And a mildy frightening one, at that.

It's definitely an interesting theory. And a mildy frightening one, at that. The scariest part for me is the fact that DC could then actually start producing even more titles. I guess if that happens the only thing I could do is give up Marvel completley. Well except for Spidey of course...

...I just realized I read six Marvel books. Aiye. I'll either have to swap one for a more interesting DC one...or I will have to cut a cost somewhere else...

Ok this is probably a silly question/comment but I didn't know where else to throw it in and since we are talking about different Earths...well here it goes...
What is everyone's favorite Robin costume? For me personally I always thought that the Robin Earth-2 had the best outfit and I loved his mask more then the others.
I know, silly question but just curious.

Does Stephanie's count??? Coz, if not...I've always been partial to Tim's.
Lol. Jason Todd's latest one in TT was interesting, though.

I've got to say, DC did a remarkable job throughout the history of Robins to keep the costumes close to the personality of the wearer. The Earth-2 Robin's uniform felt like a natural evolution into maturity. Tim's is more modern and intellectual. Jason's uniform was a knock off from Dick's and a lot of fans felt the same about Jason. Interestingly though, Nightwing's design is based off Superman's version of the Batman costume. Even the name comes from an alias Superman once used, while trapped in Kandor. Click here to see the original Nightwing from 1963!(Interestingly though, no one has since picked up the mantle of Flamebird )

Yep, there has been another Flamebird. A girl in Titans West that was obsessed with Dick Grayson. I think she pops up from time to time and her name is Bette Kane or some such variation on on the original Batwoman/Batgirl team. I absolutely love the old Kandor City stories and the Nightwing/Flamebird team and was really happy they revived the concept in 'Return to Krypton' a few years back. My favorite Robin. Hm. I'm partial to the original. I liked the Earth-2 Robin as well. There was always something cool about seeing the adult Robin when I was a kid. I even liked the gray version with the big-collared yellow cape. I also really liked Red Robin from Kingdom Come. But my favorite is the Tim Drake version from the Batman cartoon, the second run of the Bruce Timm series. This was the version that was similar to the Drake costume in the comics but was red, yellow, and black. No green or sleeve pads or big weird belt. Very streamlined and simple. Great design!

That grey version you mention, KSM, is the one that is tops with me. I always loved that combination of Batman/Robin in the costume. Showed that he had taken the next step towards the mantel that was being prepared for him.

i have always liked the costume that tim wore in the original robin mini-series. i still think that's one of the best robin books ever done.
on a side note, is it true that after infinite crisis there will no longer be a jla?

I kinda like KSM's theory, actually...
I hope Superman E2 isn't revealed to be Pariah's Apex Predator (though I think Johns is too much the fanboy to sully Kal-L like that)!

SPOILERS! Some news about OYL from NEWSARAMA so if you don't want to see, AVERT YOUR EYES!!! # Keith Giffen, John Rogers, and Cully Hamner new Blue Beetle ongoing: “Keith Giffen and screenwriter, John Rogers, are all set to take on a new Blue Beetle monthly starting next spring, and Cully Hamner’s new look for the character is quite amazing. But before the series starts, the scarab pops up in Infinite Crisis #3. # Bill Willingham Shadowpact ongoing series: “Bill Willingham will be both writer and artist on this series, as the Shadowpact spins out from Infinite Crisis: Day of Vengeance Special. Bill has been looking for the right project to pencil and I’m glad he picked this one for his return. As for Justiniano, stay tuned, big plans to be soon announced.” # Geoff Johns & Kurt Busiek on Superman/Action Comics crossover, and a James Robinson written storyline crossing-over Detective Comics and Batman: “We have planned stories to help re-establish Superman and Batman in the post-Crisis DC Universe. What follows each of these arcs? Let’s save that for another day.” # Greg Rucka on Supergirl: “Greg Rucka joins Ian Churchill on Supergirl, ‘One Year Later’. What can I say, Greg loves strong women. # Rucka and Jesus Saiz on Checkmate series: “What can I say, Greg loves board games. This series spins directly out of, surprise, surprise, Infinite Crisis: OMAC Project Special and Jesus Saiz did a wonderful job designing the new Checkmate. Look for a lot of familiar faces, meta and non-meta, to fill the chessboard. # New Wonder Woman series illustrated by Terry Dodson: “More announcements shortly on follow ups to some recently cancelled series.” # Ron Marz & Greg Tocchini Ion series: Ron did such a great job filling you in, you don’t need me here. # Anything new that you can add Dan??: “Two members of the extended Bat-family are seeing some changes as well. Bruce Jones steps in as writer of Nightwing while Adam Beechen and Karl Kerschl take on Robin. As for who is in the costumes … that’s still open for discussion… "Spinning out from Infinite Crisis: Villains United Special, there will be new secrets and a new six in the Gail Simone/Brad Walker Secret Six mini-series. "Not sure how things can change One Year Later when the stories are taking place thousands of years in the future, but the future is about to get more exciting in the newly titled Supergirl and the Legion of Superheroes. And no, that is not a typo, wide awake now. "Lastly, since you asked so nicely, Aquaman becomes Aquaman: Sword of Atlantis with issue #40. But I think that might raise more questions than answers. www.newsarama.com/forums/showthread.php?s=b050c87ccf37bfa51b172bf5cb977bed&threadid=50426Hm, not so sure about my theory anymore but it all sounds pretty darned good I think! Sword of Atlantis!? Huh??

At least three new series to start buying. Terry Dodson on Wonder Woman is a great choice. I'm somewhat disappointed that the Secret Six are going to be replaced. I'm curious to see what the new Blue Beetle looks like.

I'm thinking... With the love thats going on right now, and that the greatness that is Keith Griffen is writing it... Blue Beetle will be Ted Kord. In spirit at least. (I have a theory...)

You know I knew there was a reason why I liked you. ;D Personally I think the spirit of Ted is residing in the scabard and had an interesting disucssion about that over at DC. Well not a discussion as much as they just told me a few things and then called me names.

I think Dan Garrett and Ted Kord will reside within the scarab, and kind of advise whoever else gets the scarab afterwards. Kind of a Firestorm thing going on? Something along those lines. Or Ted is resurrected by Booster using the scarab, but not with a human body, but an energy one? Something weird and psyeudosciency like that.

I like either of those idea's. Now let's hope that the people at DC are as smart and innovative as the people on this end of the pond Now if they don't bring him back I am looking for someone's shoulder to weep on uncontrollably for two days, followed by three days of drinking and debauchery (sp?). ;D

That Aquaman re-titling (Sword of Atlantis) sounds bad-ass! I really hope they devote the talent and resources to it that the character deserves!
On that note, anybody remeber the Sword of the Atom series...? There was a neat concept!
Re: the "return" of Ted Kord. I really don't think it will happen. How does one get better from a bullet to the brain?

is sword of the atom when he went to the jungle? either way sword of atlantis DOES sound badass. i like to think that aquaman would use sharks and stuff as opposed to being kinda... standoffish. the AVENGER of the seven seas. as for teds return... dunno i just dunno... but booster IS looking for HIS league so...
