I don't know who next but I think all signs show that it's not looking so good for Wonder Woman.

I think she may retire back to Paradise island... And Donna Troy will take over...

Right now, I'm into OMAC. Can't comment on for whom the bell tolls next... I'm strictly into the Bat-titles. (Got a fanfic going where I killed Alfred, but I really don't think DC'll dare... waitasec, who am I kidding? They just assassinated Leslie's character...)

If nothing else it could go under the Elseworlds.
It will be very interesting what happens in the new Crisis. They are now saying it's a direct sequel to Crisis on Infinite Earths but won't be a cosmic, reality-altering thing. And we're finding out more and more things haven't been as they seem. It makes me wonder if someone didn't pull a huge fast one on the heroes of the DCU. Anyway, the One Year Later event looks like it will pretty much change the entire face of the DCU with what's happening to Batman and maybe Diana and I bet there's lots more where that comes from.
I'm really, really looking forward to Infinite Crisis though. The original Crisis was and is one of my all-time favorite series so my hopes are high.

I've sent it to Idlewilder. It's meant to be my spin on how the Lying In The Gutters rumor could play out. It's up on ff.net and jlaunlimited.com, right now...

Guessed the link and guessed wrong! Here's the correct info! www.comicbookresources.com/columns/?column=13Go to the archive. IIRC, this was in their July 25th edition. There's really no more info than what I've just posted. And this site deals in speculation. But they rank their rumors by traffic lights. Red means 'probably bogus'. Yellow means 'could be, who knows'. Green means 'extremely likely'. This rumor got a green light.

There was another rumor in LITG that one of the heroes would get taken out and replaced by their successor, shades of Wally replacing Barry last time around. Then there was a rumor that Wonder Woman will be restarted at number 1 some time during or after the Crisis. Soooo....

Yes, I've heard that one bandied about as well. I don't normally follow WW, though, so I'm not really up in arms over that one.

Well, with all the hoopla around Donna Troy at the moment I could see it happening. BUT, I don't think it would be permanent, especially with a movie on the horizon. I think it would be a gimmick to bring attention to the character.

I think that would be a mistake; Diana is WW! Donna Troy is a great character and all, but she doesn't have the gravitas that Diana does.
I have to admit, though, if that's the rumor, WW seems to be the one on the chopping block (would they really do it to the Flash again?)

Well, I'd be surprised if they didn't do something with the Flash, seeing as it's a Crisis and all. Even if it's just a fake out like they did with Zero Hour.

True--- he now has his brief moment of happiness with Linda and the twins, just as Barry had in the future, reunited with Iris... Disturbing parallels... But who could possibly suceed Wally in the role. Bart is not ready, surely! Maybe a Kingdom Come time-traveling future version of Wally's son or daughter...?

And I'm still trying to figure out how Rann/Thanagar fits in to the whole Infinite Crisis scheme! How could the evnts here effect the "Darkest Day" of the DCU or, the One Year Later Event? I heard that Donna Troy was collecting some heroes for some mission in space, and there have been rumors about a new GL coming out of R/T (in addition to Hawkwoman dying)... Anybody else have theories on this?

One of my theories is the only person who gets killed in RTW is Kyle Ranier, because he isn't even on the cover for #6. Also this war would affect the Crisis by taking away some of the heroes away from Earth so whatever happensin the crisis might go alot smoother, whatever it may be.

I think killing Kyle would just set them on another crazy road and don't think they would do that. The GLs are really as fully established as they've been in a long time so I think it would be smart to just tell stories for awhile and not worry about who they'll kill. Besides, Kyle is popping up in the GLC tales title (can't remember the exact name) and rumor is that there could be an ION book Post-Crisis.

yeah, true... i prefer John Stewart.
But Kyle is of my generation (barely...) and the only Green Lantern i've 'known'
even if i do love classic retro comics, and know of Hal.

Wow, that preview of IC looks intense!
To add my two cents in, I don't think DC will kill off Kyle; he's got too much of a presence in the GLC (and too much of a fan following, lord knows why)
Being the Hawkfan that I am, I really thought Rann/Thanagar War was going to be my favorite, but Gail Simone on Villains United has just blown me away! Every issue has been better than the last, she ups the ante every single time--- can't wait to see what she has in store for the last issue!
My guess on the identity of Mockingbird: Dr. Sivana (check out Winnick's latest misbegotten disaster Superman/Shazam! for some insight into Sivana's rivalry with Luthor).
