I think I might just do that, Alex. Next move is audiobook editions, right? So long as we can get Stephen Fry to read the audiobook. These stories deserve that kind of class. -UDC

For starters, I'd like to give a hand to my co-author Fantomas, who has been hugely helpful in writing this series. Now then... You have a rather interesting take on what at first look appears to be an issue of Freedom Fighters. I had to double check to make sure this wasn't an Earth X title or whatever we're calling it these days in the 2nerverse. When I was putting this series together, I knew I wanted to avoid most of the classic Global Guardians members, as they always felt a little too gimmicky to me. Uncle Sam was chosen because I thought he'd be interesting (and he will). Don't worry, the next issue will have a more international flavor. What can I say? Nazis make for good villains. People can translate if they want to. I assumed most people would just take it as face value as "magic foreign words". Thanks for reading and thanks for commenting! -UDC

I dug this. I've always thought Knight and Squire were a fun couple, campy and fun in their own English way, and I'm glad that transitions here. The Hood as an espionage agent is also pretty cool and makes a nice counterpoint to our heroes. If there's any complaint, it's that the mystery was solved a bit quick, but that's a minor issue on an otherwise great story. Good work, Fant. Looking forward to the next one.

Detective is in the middle of a two parter and unless the writer wants to pick up where he left off, we can talk about finishing his script.... Or starting fresh... The writer would actually prefer the second option, as the writer is not a big fan of the story he came up with and would rather find other projects to work on for this site. The writer is me, btw. -UDC

Still interested in hearing what folks think about this. While I very much appreciate the support from Scott, Jamie, Alex, Jay and Charlie, I kinda already knew what they felt about it. Are there any others out there who have an opinion one way of the other on JSA? I think we may be the only ones left. -UDC

Ummmm.... I hate it when geeky pop cultural references go over my head! Doctor Who, series 3 finale. All of the new series is on Netflix, you should check it. It's cheesy fun. -UDC

Nicely done, man. Very high tension, very strong emotion. Reading everyone's responses to the disaster was interesting and I'm looking forward tomseeing the fallout from this and how it affects everyone. Really well done issue.

I dug it. Not as much as issue one, but still cool. This was very much and action issue, but I still have fun with it. I'm not sure if this villain is an original creation or from the comics, but this stage, he seems a bit two-dimensional. Still, he seems like he could be a good foe for Aquaman, so I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with him.
Also, my inner nerd kinda hopes that Garth staring into the magical abyss leads to him going insane and trying to take over all of existence because he hears a drumbeat in his head.

Whatever else happens, I can guarantee you, this will be the biggest threat the DC2 JSA will has ever faced. When the Fuhrer of the Fourth Reich stands revealed, you'll see why! It's a Hitler clone, isn't it? You can just tell me if it's a Hitler clone. -UDC

Oh hey, it's back. Right on.
Great issue, way to bridge into the next arc and touch on all the major characters. I'm looking forward to the story; JSA vs. neo-Nazis makes a whole lotta sense and promises some really interesting action and character moments.
I'm hoping to see more of the younger guard in future issues, but really, all the characters are fun to read and well done, so it's all good. Looking forward to what comes next, and glad to have the old folks back.

Okay, I had a slow day at work the same day I saw this, so I wrote half of a Who/Hex story in my head to pass the time. Whether it gets finished and posted is something else, but I did come up with an idea! I even worked in a way to get Jonah to punch Skinny-Britches in the face (I really don't like him). Aww man, Eleven's my favorite. Still, I'd love to read that story. -UDC

If the current Daredevil series has taught me anything, it's the value of a little swash and buckle in stories. That was the vibe I got here: Aquaman as a fun, energetic hero, who can get serious or dramatic when he needs to, and I totally dig it.
This was a great opening, setting up characters, location, current and future story lines, with some fun action to boot, particularly the Aqua v. Manta grudge match. The writing came off a bit too exposity at times, but the backstory dump did set up the interesting paradigm of an Arthur Curry who hasn't yet found his kingdom. I'm looking forward to where the story goes and what (if any) changes come about. Also, that cover; magnificent.
Keep it up!

A couple of things before I start saying anything important. First off: OH MY GOD EARTH A ACTUALLY HAPPENED! IT HAPPENED! AND WILL CONTINUE TO HAPPEN IN THE FORSEEABLE FUTURE! FINALLY!
Secondly...
Funny, I never realized Thanagar was part of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. I guess you learn something new every day.
Now then, on to the story: Yay, I liked it! Good start to what is sure to be a good series. If I had anything to complain about, it was a bit short (though I suppose that's to be expected from a title that was intended to be part of an anthology). We don't get much characterization from our leads or their relationship. However, the action was fun and it does set up a pretty neat villain (which is good, since Hawkman has, what, maybe three villains? Or at least good ones). I'm looking forward to the next one. Keep it up!

Really strong issue. I love the descent into crazy, I love how the Joker is written spot-on, I love the cabbie's inner monologue (Do we ever find out his name? Was it left out intentionally?), I love the cover just because it's spot-on creepy and looks great, and I love the story idea of an average citizen being swept up in Gotham's superhero game. Kinda makes me want to write something similar. Hurm...
Again, great stuff, awesome cover hope to see more of it soon.

I'm digging on Batman so far, it has been really strong. However, my favorite of the relaunch is Demon Knights. It reads like Paul Cornell and his ADD friends play a hectic game of Dungeons and Dragons and its awesome.

I'm still here, heart and soul. I've been on this site for years. My first complete story was published on this site. I grew as a writer because of this site, not just because it was a creative outlet, but beacause there were some extremely talented people here, putting out fantastic stories with damn gorgeous artwork to boot. I love this site and I don't want to give it up or see it die. So yeah, I'm still here and ready to work.

I suppose I better post mine, since I'm certain you're all dying to know my opinion. Here's what I got: Justice League - Yes, yes, a thousand times yes. Justice League International - Perhaps. I've dug the characters in the past (JLI vol. 1 was one of my first GNs), so we'll see. Aquaman - In it for the writer. Wonder Woman - Depends on the reviews. If they make WW interesting to me, i'll follow it. The Flash - In it for the art and the character. Captain Atom - Dunno. Maybe. The Fury of Firestorm - In it for the writer. Green Arrow - I like the character and maybe with a clean slate he'll be cool again. The Savage Hawkman - Wait and see. Mister Terrific - Wait and see. DC Universe Presents - Wait and see. Batman - Probably not. Batman comics have been neat but the only Bat-comics i've followed are fringe titles (and Batman and Robin). I doubt i'll follow this one. Detective Comics - Probably not. Batwing - Again, fringe titles interest me. Why does Batwing get his own comic? I'd be eager to find out. Batman: The Dark Knight - Nope. Batman and Robin - I dug the earlier one, so yeah. Batgirl - YES. Batwoman - Not as much yes, but still some yes. Nightwing - We'll see. Catwoman - Probably not. Birds of Prey - We'll see. I dig the Birds and i'd be eager to see where they go. Red Hood and the Outlaws - Yes. This is an idea I'll follow. Action Comics - In it for the writer. Superman - I doubt it. Action'll probably be enough Supes for me. Superboy - I'd like to know what they do with it before checking it out. Supergirl - I love the character, but again, I gotta know where they're taking her. Green Lantern - I'll follow it. I'm committed to GL. Green Lantern Corps - See above. Green Lantern: New Guardians - See above above. Red Lanterns - I dunno, maybe? How much mileage can you get from these folks? Teen Titans - I like team books and I like this team, so yeah. Static Shock - Maybe. I dug the animated series most of the time so we'll see. Hawk and Dove - Probably not, but maybe. Blue Beetle - I like the artist, so maybe. Legion of Superheroes - Nope. Never was a big Legionnaire and didn't like what Paul Levitz did on the most recent series, so i'll sit this one out. Legion Lost - Also this one. Stormwatch - Maybe. I've never gotten into these folks, but maybe Cornell can sell me on them. Grifter - Probably not. Deathstroke - Maybe. Suicide Squad - I'm curious more than anything here, plus I still like team books. OMAC - Nope. Blackhawks - Nope. Men of War - Nope. Voodoo - Nah, although the main character does remind me of the babe. All-Star Western - I've heard a lot of good stuff, and thanks to the combined forces of Red Dead Redemption and the Coen's True Grit, I may be interested enough in Western stories to pick this up. Justice League Dark - Too weird to pass up. Swamp Thing - Too weird to pick up. Also I never got into the character. Animal Man - Nah. Frankenstein, Agent of S.H.A.D.E. - Too weird to pass up. I, Vampire - Maybe. Despite everything that's happened to them, I like vampires, so we'll see. Resurrection Man - He's always been a weird sort, so he might prove fun. Demon Knights - I love Jason Blood and Etrigan (as we may see soon), so I'll probably at least try this. And those are my picks. Let's hope I don't burn up my college fund following them. -UDC
