Dude, you should totally pitch this as an elseworld series. It would be sweet.

My stuff got used. That's awesome.
Also, the issue itself was good. The plot's moving forward and everything's coming together into a big fat awesome climax to 40 plus issues of development. Good stuff. Keep it up, bro.

OH MY GOD THINGS ARE HAPPENING!
Don't get me wrong, I love this series, but it just seems like we've been faffing about this world for the past thirty-odd issues. With this, we finally see the overarcing story move forward and it's great to read. Here's hoping the next issues keep being great.

And thank you for giving me the opportunity to write in this world. The Resistanceverse is a great world and I had a blast playing around in it.
I'll get started on next year's annual. With any luck, it'll be out around 2015.

Actually, after reading the first two volumes of 'Chew', my friend and I discussed casting for a show based of it, and here's what we came up with:
Tony Chu: John Cho- The protagonist of the series, Tony Chu is a rookie federal agent and one of a select few in this world with food-based powers. Tony is a cibopath, meaning he can get a psychic impression from anything he eats. Tony can get caught up in conspiracy and craziness, but he's able enough to hold his own and pull himself out of a tight situation. John Colby: Bradley Cooper- Tony's partner when they were cops and again after Tony's first partner went into hiding. Colby is willing to use his badge for personal gain, but it's clear that he is a devoted officer of the law. He often insults Tony, but the two are definately friends. He does a lot of dispiccable things but he's still charming enough to be liked. Also, he's a cyborg. Amelia Mintz: Elizabeth Banks- The love interest of the series, Amelia is a food critic in DC. She also has a food-based power, namely that she's a saboscriver; Amelia can write and speak about food so vividly that anyone who reads or hears her words will have the sensation of taste. Tony fell for her the day they met, and while she barely noticed him, the two do eventually get together.
There are other characters that have yet to be cast by us (Mason Savoy, Mike Applebee, Governor Haupai, the Vampire), but that's what we got so far.

Just a few odds and ends:
Deathstroke: Ron Perlman- He voiced the guy in the Teen Titans cartoons and despite the goofy anime tone of the show, he always kept it serious and scary. What's more, he actually looks like the dude in real life. Just slap on an eyepatch and you got it.
Hal Jordan: Nathan Fillion- For the same reasons you said. Plus he's been to space before.
Mysterio: Bruce Campbell- I don't care if Raimi's off the Spider-film, Bruce would be great as an over-the-top villain like Mysterio. Hell, Bruce could play the whole damn Marvel universe and i'd dig it.
J. Jonah Jameson: J.K. Simmons- Don't mess with a good thing. Please.

I saw this trailer and I half expected Kenneth Branagh to show up in a giant mechanical spider. Not a good sign.
I'm gonna see it anyway, i'm just saying it looks like dumb.

One of the producers on this show is Greg Weisman, one of the minds behind Gargoyles and the recently (and tragically) cancelled Spectacular Spider-Man. So I have high hopes for this series.

FINALLY! It's done! Now I can get on with my life!
Seriously though, great closer. As action packed and crazy as I expected. It's interesting that the big seven (or six, as it were) of the JLA seemed to be more in the spotlight than the JSA themselves. The Flashes and Hal definately stand out amongst the crowd (although it's been so long that i've forgotten exactly when Wally joined the party). I'm still curious as to how the Humanite came to possess Parallax, but it's all good. And I have to wonder how this all ends up back at the Justice League Legacies story arc. Still, it was a lot of fun getting here and i'm looking forward to what's to come.

I liked this. True, Catman's countless tests of loyalty and skill have become tiresome, but you've pointed that out , which was both clever and funny. And Parasite's story finally seems to be coming to ahead and i'm looking forward to what happens. Good stuff. Keep it up.

I like it. The Wilsons are an interesting group and i'm looking forward to seeing how they play out. I've always been interested in seeing all of them in one place and this seems like a good place for this scenario to play out. And that cover is very cool. Keep it up, Jay.

A very auspicious start for the Society's new direction. Catman continues to shine as both calculated and psychotic and Bane is...well, the same as he ever was, which is a good thing. The hunt for the Society is a very interesting addition to the series and should prove to be an intriguing sub-plot. Really, really fun stuff here. I'll be back next month.

I can honestly say that I did not see the Parallax twist coming, but I think it works here. There's definately a story to be told behind how this all came to be, but it's one i'm very looking forward to it.
I like where we're at right now. We're well into the third act and it's clear that the epic conclusion is within reach, and it's still a blast getting there. After so many issues absent, the All-Stars finally get to shine here and they are a blast to read. The uniting of the JLA and JSA is a cool read and i'm sure it can only get cooler.
Very much looking forward to the next issue. Keep up the good work.

I like it. Brick is really being set up to be the big bad here and I like how he's written as equal parts the collected mastermind and brutal thug. Connor and Mia getting some alone time is just fun to read. I don't know yet how I feel about Connor getting involved with the DEO (mostly because I know nothing about them), but i'm sure it'll be fun getting there.
Good stuff all around. As always, i'll be back next month.

That's a lot of plot twists in one place. I mean, it was a well written issue with a lot of really cool action and intrigue, but there were quite a lot of twists and turns.
Seriously though, this was a lot of fun. Slade getting a chance to shine is never a disappointment and Lex is a surprisingly fun read when he's...being himself (I'm not the biggest fan). The revelation of the Voice was definately unexpected, but I think it worked (I'm a fan of Triclops). And the story leaves off with a very bright future for the villains (definately a good thing).
Great, fun, actiony stuff. Keep it up.

Fun stuff. I like that the St. Dumas storyline is finally getting adressed, and that the Church of Blood is really stepping up to become a formidable big bad. The motley crew is a very interesting combination (though I don't know how I feel about Zee's magic fixing a major crisis. Again) and the new Azrael has a lot of potential. The general sword-and-sorcery theme was cool (mostly because i'm deeply involved with my copy of Dragon Age: Origins right now) and the story was a good set-up for a sure to be epic story. Keep up the good work.

Huh. I didn't expect this. The arc on a whole is an unusual idea, as I didn't think the Markovian Empire vs. the Catholic Church would hold up, but it does here. Mostly, it's the different views on religion in general that works. You've made sure each character has a unique look on the subject that matches their individual voices. It's really cool. And you've included the Justice Society, which is always a good time.
So all in all, very good, very interesting stuff here. Keep it up. I'll be back next month.

You can't just have a quiet funeral issue, can you?
Glad you didn't.
It's good to see the team reacting to death (or at least comic book death). Kate, Dinah and Plas have the best reactions to it. Grace...is a horrible grief counselor. I'm no expert, but it doesn't seem good to say "You're wrong. Shut up and listen to me." while someone is grieving. Although maybe Babs needed it. I don't know.
I'm interested to see where the Church of Blood goes. Now that they have more characters involved and powerful ones at that, they could be a very interesting big bad.
And Helena...now where's that scamp gone off to now?
All in all, good issue. Glad there's a stark contrast between the grieving segments and the action scene at the end. And, as always, i'll be back next month.

See, this is what I wanted: facetime with Connor and Mia. Don't get me wrong, I love Ollie as much as the next guy, but I love character development a lot, and it's nice to see it happen to the rest of Team Arrow.
Good issue that helps establish the new status quo. Connor is doing his job, as to be expected, and Mia is as energetic as ever, which is great. I'm glad Brick is becoming a powerful player in the scheme of things (god knows Green Arrow doesn't have enough good villains) and Scarapelli...well, with Vito dead, he needs a new rival, I suppose.
Good issue overall. And a good cover, too. But seriously, why is Connor in Seattle?

Dude, you's a dick.
Seriously, we get all that buildup with Ravager and you don't even tell us who he is? Not cool, buddy. Not cool.
Still, a very fun issue. I like the symmetry between the heroes and the villains in their down time. The fight scene was coregraphed like...well, like a comic-book fight scene, but it was still well done. Slade and Major D stand out here as very cool characters. Overall, very cool. I'm looking forward to the next issue.

So we've moved away from the "Welcome to Earth-2" portion of the story and into the part where everything hits the fan. Very cool.
I'm glad to see the All-Stars return. Frankly, I missed their co-feature, and now they're back and getting things done. I like it.
I also think i'm finally hooked into the Black Shazam mystery. That's cool.
My only complaint is that the villains don't seem to be too terribly interesting. Don't get me wrong, I like them Parallax, Black Shaz and Evil Marvel, but they just seem to be acting like "I will take over!" or "I am evil! Grr! Arrgg!" But that's not too important.
Overall, a fun change of pace. As always, i'll be back next month.

First off, the "Stretch Armstrong" brings back memories of this video. Second off, good issue. It makes sense that Babs's personal vendetta and guilt take priority over the oncoming church attacks. Of course, it begs the question, why does she have this fixation? And if Morrow reprogrammed Reddy, why'd he kill Vito? And if he didn't, who did? Wait, we already knew that part. Forget I said anything. Morrow and Tommie make for a good team, Plas continues to shine as an entertaining character, the action flowed well and all in all it was a fun little one-shot story. Nice work. Keep it up. -UDC

I like the rotating spotlight that's going on here. Metallo really does shine here; much like the others, he has more power than I thought he had. Writing from the mind of a robot is always interesting; it seemed a little bit distracted but I guess that's the character.
I like what we're building up to. The 100 and IU both seem like cool organizations and i'm looking forward to seeing them fight the Society. So, i'll be back next month.
