Ummm... did Superman just blow up the Watchtower and kill the Martian Manhunter? Or maybe it was Bizarro...? I've heard a lot of chatter about this. J'onn at first though it was someone he knew... but then it all went wrong. Since the teleporters detected the user as Superman, was it: - Superman (the current DC) - Superboy (who has some of Superman's DNA) - Supergirl (who has related Kryptonian DNA) - Bizarro (who shares incomplete DNA with Superman) - Mongul (who was lurking in the destroyed hq) - Ultraman (Superman from alternate reality) - Powergirl (origin TBD) - Superman (from earth-1 or somewhere else) Anyone else? |

ok, another list question. The search for the next incarnation of the JLA is on. So who do you want to see in the next line up? My seven are:
Green Arrow - surprise
Black Canary - so she can show GA what he lost
Flash (Wally) - it wouldn't be a JLA without Flash
Green Lantern (Hal) - hmm, this is starting to look a little silver to me...
Captain Marvel - I wish he was used somewhere in DC on a regular basis.
Zatanna - I just love her character, always have.
Platic Man - I've missed seeing him
next...

Black Canary (which, okay, will always BE a given when it comes to me)
Green Arrow (as much as I dislike the relationship that he and Canary had, they play well off each other sometimes)
I'm iffy on which GL I'd put in, since I like them all...though Kyle's always been the one I've liked moderately more than the others. Then again, Hal and Dinah have a lot of history together, and even though they are completely wrong for each other, it'd be interesting to see them have a small fling that they end very very quick.

Nightwing
Donna Troy
Power Girl
Modified to add: I really wouldn't mind seeing Big Barda join the team, either. She'd be fun to have there. And Plasticman definitely has some good moments. So yeah, that'd pretty much be my roster...

I'm not enjoying Bob Harras's arc. It's not grabbing me. I'm thinking they should have used one of the IC go to guys to write it.
Like Grant Morrison.
Or Greg Rucka!
He would rule on JLA IMO.

i always thought greg rucka would be a decent fit for the jla. i think giving the book back to morrison would be the best bet though.

I wouldn't mind seeing it in the hands of Rucka. Between him and Morrison, personally, I think I'd go for Rucka. I do like Morrison's writing, (I did read his New X-Men run, though okay, that might have been more for Emma Frost than Morrison himself) but Rucka's has always struck a bit of a chord with me, more.

I am not a big fan of Morrisons, except for Animal Man, and wasn't real thrilled with his X-Men, except....Emma. He really did nail that character. I will give him that one! ;D

I'd always loved Emma - she's always been my only reason for even getting into any of the X-Books - but damn...Morrison just did her so damn well. Crafty, sexy, vulnerable, smart...dude. He seriously made her iconic, in a way. That's my opinion, anyway.

Brad Meltzer or Mark Miller for writer. Andy or Adam Kubert for art.
The reason I say Mark Miller is I hear he is going freelance and it is well known that he loves DC comics. What better then JLA for him to write.
How's this for a line-up:
Superman
Flash ( Barry )
Green Lantern ( Hal )
Aquaman
Martian Manhunter
Hawkgirl
Donna Troy
Zatanna
I think some real interesting stories would come out of that line-up.

I think at the end of Crisis they are going to bring back Barry Allen. No one stays dead forever. Jason Todd and Bucky are alive why not Barry.

I've already heard counter rumors on Wally's demise so who knows. Grant Morrison's run on JLA are some of my all-time favorite comics (well, at least up until One Million ) so I would love to see him on the book again. |
